The tailbag proved to be very stable on my '82 Yamaha XJ1100 on my trip to Yosemite (748 miles). Unlike the flat bottom
bag that teeter totters on your seat, the Tailbag's unside down "U" tunnel design provides extra stability since the bag not
only sits on top of your seat but also hugs the left and right sides of the seat. The result is that the side-to-side shift is
eliminated. To eliminate front to back shift push the tailbag back and tie it against your backrest.

If you don't have a backrest, tie the bag down with bungees that are directed forward and rear of the bag so the bag doesn't
slide for and aft.

The Tailbag is equipped with "D" rings fore and aft, on each side, giving you four points of attachment around the upside
down "U". Hook strap or bungee to "D" ring and hook the other end to point of attachment on the frame on the bike.

Never hook anything to the swing arm! It will swing up and down and the bungee will alternate from slack to high tension.
The bag will become loose and the bungee may snap and could get wrapped up in your rear wheel causing it to seize.

A good tie-down point is a rigid mounted turn signal for the rear. A front tie-down point is trickier. Try replacing the short,
stock fender strut bolt, with a longer bolt with a nut. It makes a good tie-down point.
