Headlight Adapter Ring Installation for 1-7036CAP & 1-7055CAP Step 1: Some filing may be needed to make sure holes line up correctly Step 2: Install all 3 gimbal plates to snug, not tight Step 3: Make sure holes line up correctly to allow room for springs Step 4: Make sure you can read the word "OUT" at the top or the ring Step 5: Line up screws with spring holes, do not place springs in yet. Step 6: insert and tighten all three screws Step 7: Since gimbal plates are not tightened down, they can move enough to center the ring Step 8: Once centered, tighten the screws on all three gimbal plates down. Step 9: Remove the ring screws Step 10: Remove ring Step 11: Place the springs in all the gimbal plates Step 12: Your housing should look like this Step 13: With spring in place, insert ring screws into the three springs Step 14: Evenly tighten the three screws Step 15: Continue to tighten the mounting ring all the way down Step 16: Plug lamp into headlight connector Step 17: Line up the lamp tabs with the mounting ring notches Step 18: Center lamp in mounting ring Step 19: Install retaining ring over lamp Step 20: Align retaining ring holes with mounting ring screws Step 21: Install retaining ring clamp screws Step 22: Remove stock trim ring clip Step 23: Verify that the stock trim ring will fit over the lamp Step 24: Remove trim ring. Aim headlight by turning the three spring loaded gimbal plate screws. Step 25: Turning the top screw counter clockwise will aim the light down Step 26: Turning the lower screws will aim the light left to right Step 27: Re-Install stock trim ring Step 28: Carefully slide the flap under the trim ring and install the pinch screw
