Installing O-Rings to center lamp in retaining ring

Some lamps have a smaller clamping flange diameter than is standard (see step 1). These smaller
lamps may move when tightening the retaining ring and the clamping flange edge might pop out
of the retaining ring. It may be neccessary to tape a supplied O-Ring around the outside diameter
of the clamping flange to help keep the lamp cetered in our retaining ring.
Here's how we do it:

Step 1: Place rubber o-ring around lamp

Step 2: Make sure o-ring is centered on the clamping flange all
the way around the lamp as best as possible

Step 3: Tape o-ring to lamp

Step 4: Tape at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock

Step 5: Install lamp into mounting ring

Step 6: Carefully install retaining ring so as not to push the
o-ring off the clamping flange

Step 7: Screw retaining ring into place with light tourque. Too
much tourque might crack the lens! The gap between the
mounting and retaining ring is intentional
